Miss You

Hello friends,

Today, I am sharing a card which is 100% influenced and inspired by super talented Birgit Edblom's cards. I just love her work! She takes such a tiny stamp or diecut and add water color backdrops to create magic with it. The simple elegance of her art is so inspiring! You can check her work HERE and HERE.

I have made this card for Jane's Doodle's blog! I have used Simon and Daffodil stamp set to create it.

I have used mission gold water colors for background and copics to color the seagul! I have also applies some shimmer with Spectrum Noire  - clear sparkle pen ! I like it better than wink of stella!

Love the glistening water !

That is all for today! Thank you for being here!

Hello Friends,

I can't explain how excited I am to be a part of this blog hop. I love this blog hop and have played along many times in the past. But this one is speciall as I am joining here as a GDT for the same. I feel honored to join this super talented and fun loving team of crafters. Thank you, Amy!

I am running out of my coffee, tea related craft supply so thought of using regular stamps and
coffee-fied them...:P

I have used The World Is Waiting set by Taylored Expression . The blue green ink swashes are for summer. I have painted the inside of glob with smells so divine ...:) . I used white embossed coffee banner on red to highlight the coffee word. I had to tweak the sentiment ( added 's' after make) to make it grammatically correct.

There are loads of prices and inspirations on the blog! Do not miss this opportunity to play along! I would love to see you projects in link up on the blog!

Click HERE to go to main blog for link up!

I have used Love Birds and Rain or Shine stamp sets for the card. Background is made using distress oxides.

Jane's Doodles Blog Hop

Hello Crafty friends,

We are having stamps release blog hop @ Jane's Doodle's . 3 new sets are added to the store.

   Mother's Day                                  ABC's                                         Bloom

Mother's Day- SALE            ABC's                  Bloom

Due to delay from manufacturer, mother's day set couldn't released earlier but you can see how versatile all the sentiments are ( except one) ! Fonts and sizes are just perfect! Second set is ABC's.
Once again, size of the letters are on the spot, small enough to use in the background and big enough to form sentiment.

For my first card, I have used ABC's and Mother's day set to create a card for Father's day....told is versatile...:)

The background is created with ABC set. I used same letters to emboss DAD on blue CS. Main sentiment is from Mother's day set.

For the second card, I have used Bloom set. These are large blooms, fun to play with and easy to color. Even fussy cut was super easy.

I stamp-mask-stamp on 5x7" white panel. I colored the blooms with mission gold water colors. I chose muted colors to give vintage feel to the card. I fussy cut the top part of the panel. I also painted some stripes in metallic golden color on the base card. I used foam sheet under the panel to give it some dimension. The leaves resting on striped part are fussy cut and tucked  under the raised panel.

I hope you can see the layers. I had so much fun making these cards.

Now let's see what we have for you for the hop.

There will be one randomly selected winner from any of the blogs who will get one stamp set of her/his choice.
All the stamps are 25% off through weekend. Jane will announce the winner on Monday!

Before I give hop list, I would like to welcome Norine to our DT team. She is a talented crafter and artist. I love her layouts and coloring too!

So here goes the list

To Bee or Not To Bee - Blog Hop

Hello Friends,

I am so proud to be part of this blog hop - to bee or not to bee. Yes! our purpose is to spread awareness about bees and their role in apicultural products. Also to support initiation of the Slovenian Beekeepers’ Association that the May 20th is declared World Bee Day by the United Nations (UN).

Bees are some of the hardest working creatures on the planet, and because of their laborious work ethic, we owe many thanks to this amazing yet often under appreciated insect.

Our lives – and the world as a whole – would be a much different place if bees didn’t exist. To illustrate this fact, consider these numbers: bees are responsible for pollinating about one-sixth of the flowering plant species worldwide and approximately 400 different agricultural types of plant.
It is sad that their colonies are declining. We really have to be aware how and why this is happening.

HERE is an interesting video I came across from TED talk.

Few things we can do to help bees' sustainability
 * Plant flowering plants if you can.
 * Avoid the use of pesticides.
 * Whenever possible, choose native plants.  Native plants will attract more native pollinators.

So as our today's theme is bee, I made this card

The world is full of wanna-bees. What if we just  bee ourselves? Don't you think life would be much easier and more beautiful that way? The other message I was trying to give through this card is how our ever expanding cityscape is engulfing the natural habitats of bees. I hope I manged to do so.

You are not alone

Hey Friends,

I am on Jane's blog with a water colored card.

I have used Daffodils  stamp set for my card. It was stamped on ranger water color card stock with archival ink and colored using Mission Gold water colors. Isn't that sentiment heart touching? We all are fighting our own battles but some time, just knowing that we are not alone is enough to keep us going. That is all for today.
Have a great day!
